REHABILITATION & EVOLUTION CENTER
Our vision is to create the first Rehabilitation & Evolution Center for S.O.W. here in Arizona. This facility will be the first of its kind to provide many of our therapies under one roof. At the R.E.C. we will provide counseling, both group and individual, career services, business and life skills training, strength and conditioning, self-defense, jiu-jitsu, childcare and much more. The R.E.C. allows us the ability to provide these therapies and helps our Survivors get back their dignity, self-esteem, and confidence.
There are dozens of programs out there for the HERO themselves, but what most people forget about or never think of is the family members at home trying to put the pieces back together. The “forgotten heroes” at home that are dealing with what is called “secondhand PTSd.” Spouses, children, even parents have had their lives changed forever when their loved one returns home a different person mentally in the same shell of a body, and sometimes in a body that has been changed by trauma. At the REC, all our programs are available to them as well so that we strengthen the family as a whole and have a complete family evolution.
Our R.E.C. facilities also aim to help and educate communities on the hidden and unseen illnesses of our military and domestic Survivors, such as PTS(d), depression, adjustment disorder, anxiety, etc. as well as the obvious physical injuries that are the result of their service, commitment, trauma, and sacrifice.
